LIGHT SCULPTURES BY MAJA TYBEL
My name is Maja Tybel.
I'm an art director and sculptor.
For almost 10 years now, I am supporting brands in building unique identities by creating visual strategies and campaigns. Among my clients are Samsung, Vogue Polska, Diptyque Paris, History TV, Label Magazine, Mini Cooper Polska, AmberEXPO, Diverse, Raffles Europejski and many others.
Today, the time has come to create and lead my own brand.
On October 25th, I am planning a launch party during which
I will present sculptures and lamps of my own design.
The event will take place in the prestigious CONCEPT 11 showroom in the heart of Warsaw’s Old Town. This exceptional space, known for collaborations with top Polish designers, is the perfect place to present to the world the project I have been working on.
Each piece is created from start to finish in my studio – from concept, through sculpting and casting, to the final result. The lampshades are produced at the Kashubian glassworks Puckglass, under my supervision. The sculptures are made of modules designed to be modified and expanded, allowing elements to be added or changed according
to personal preferences.
The first collection draws inspiration from Polish folk paper-cutting art and serves as a contemporary reinterpretation of Old Slavic totems.
The color scheme of the objects comes from the natural tones of the clay. The structure and colours of the ceramics are highlighting a bond with nature and the earth – the effect is achieved by combining different tones of ceramic masses. This results in a timeless effect that works well in modern and classic interiors equally.
The collection will also include PREMIUM objects – unique sculptures made as single pieces, available exclusively during the event.
